Patricia Smith is a mom, a minister, a small business owner, and an accountant. She is running for the North Carolina House to bring accountability back and to make sure our communities are no longer left behind.
We Rise, is about leadership that listens first, speaks honestly, and is focused on real-world solutions that work for the people of Edgecombe, Martin, and Bertie. After a decade of falling further behind, Patricia believes it is time for leadership that delivers results, not excuses. We don't settle, we RISE.
I’m Patricia Smith. I grew up in the same small towns that are now fighting to keep jobs, hospitals, schools, and main streets alive. I have seen what happens when communities are overlooked, and I have spent my life working alongside neighbors and local leaders to make sure our voices are heard. As a mother of four, a minister, a small business owner, and an accountant, I understand responsibility and accountability, not as talking points, but as daily work. I have served as treasurer for multiple organizations and as a former member of the Martin County Human Relations Commission because I believe leadership means showing up and doing the work. This campaign is about making sure our towns are respected, included, and represented when decisions are made that shape our future. We do not settle for being left behind. We RISE.
